- A Servant Leader, McNally is the retired Chair of a Wisconsin based Vistage group of 20 CEO’s known as the “Leadership Exchange,” one of the highest performing and rated groups in the worldwide organization of more than +20,000 CEO’s. He has been active with TEC/Vistage since 1993.
- He is an accomplished speaker on both Leadership as well as Tools for Success.
- During Rand’s career, his teams have produced +$1.5B in incremental EBITDA.
- McNally has participated in +700 Board meetings, chairing more than half.
- He has led more than 30 acquisitions.
Rand and Carol have been together for +50 years and his best friends continue to be his highly successful Sons, Sean and Seth, and their respective families!
Rand, is both a “business builder,” and an “accomplished fixer." He is proud of his international business experience working in more than 35 countries serving:
- Caterpillar, both the parent company as well as a dealer turn around.
- Clarke, a division of McGraw Edison.
- Graco, (commercial cleaning equipment).
- Cleaver-Brooks (the world largest commercial and industrial boiler manufacturer) and Industrial Combustion, both Divisions of Aqua Chem owned by Lyonnaise des Eaux.
- Outboard Marine Corporation.
- Hayes Performance (braking and bicycle systems).
- Three Private Equity (PE) groups – Whitney, Greenway Partners and Nautic Partners.
His business philosophy is simple: Protect the assets, grow the skill and talent in people and improve the critical financial metrics all resulting in the enhancement of enterprise value.
McNally is known for his healthy impatience, the quest for continuous improvement, leadership development and the practice of lean business disciplines. His teams have led dozens of projects in organizational and operational design, process and productivity enhancement and information systems improvements. Rand’s operating doctrine centers on:
- the “Rule of Three”
- ingraining the practice of understanding individual “R.A.A.”
- responsibility – authority - accountability
- integrating “Stop–Start–Continue” in relationship building.
- using “One Page” strategic and tactical plans.

Rand’s personal interests include bird hunting (upland and waterfowl) from Argentina to Canada and all points between, training bird hunting dogs (his kennel has Labrador Retrievers and Brittanies), playing golf with his family (a high handicapper who is regularly beaten by his wife and always by his sons), riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles and Polaris Off Road vehicles. Carol and Rand are current members of Ozaukee Country Club in Mequon, WI as well as Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, AZ.
